Shannon Injety, PT, MPT, PCS, Owner
As a graduate of Loma Linda University in 1999, Shannon headed straight into pediatrics. She started Inland Children’s Therapy (now THRIVE pediatrics) as a single therapist in 2001 servicing exclusively the birth to three populations in their homes. As THRIVE grew she opened a clinic site located in Colton which served our local families from 2002-2009. Then it was back to all in-home services for several years until 2017 when THRIVE began sharing clinic space with our friends at WonderLab. Shannon has completed many continuing education courses with an emphasis on NDT and completed her 8 week training in Neuro-Developmental Treatment of Children with Cerebral Palsy in 2004. She also enjoys working as a contract instructor at Loma Linda University in their entry level Doctoral program. Outside of work, Shannon loves to head out with her husband and kids to go glamping!
Kristin Munsey, PT, MPT, Clinic Director
Kristin has been at THRIVE since 2003 and has been serving as our clinic director since 2005. Kristin graduated from Chapman University with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 1993. Kristin has worked in a variety of pediatric settings including acute care, NICU, high-risk follow-up clinic, in-home early intervention, schools and out-patient clinic. She also has experience in pediatric orthopedic settings. Kristin is certified to perform Neonatal Oral Motor Assessment Scale and has taken continuing education in a variety of areas including Neuro-Developmental Treatment and pediatric taping.
Emilie Tilson, PT, DPT, Cert-CMFA, Lead
Emilie graduated from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences in 2018. She has worked in outpatient orthopedics but has always had a desire to work in pediatrics. She started working for THRIVE in January 2020. Emilie loves to be outside whether she is hiking, running, or kayaking.
Felicia Hopkins, PT, DPT
Felicia earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in 2019 and has primarily focused on treating the pediatric population since becoming a licensed physical therapist. Her dedication to fostering children’s development can be seen through her voluntary work. Throughout her extensive schooling, she has gained experience with Hippotherapy and has ventured in aquatic therapy while treating children with disabilities. She also has experience in acute and subacute pediatric hospital settings, in-home early intervention, and outpatient pediatric clinics. In addition to her doctorate, she is certified in LSVT BIG therapy and will soon be NDT certified. Felicia began working for THRIVE in September 2020, mid-pandemic, and has since grown into a wonderful, well-rounded physical therapist who regularly strives to learn new treatment interventions to better assist her patients. During her spare time, you can find Felicia splurging on movie marathons, playing soccer, or spending some much-needed time with her family and friends.
Heiba Kebbas, PT, DPT
Heiba earned her bachelor's degree in Health Science and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in 2012. Interest and training in pediatrics began with her selected clinical rotations during her third year of physical therapy school. This included California Children's Services and home health PT. Following graduation, she immediately began working in orthopedics and honed her skills in this specialty field for 5 years. Within this time, she explored practice in the areas of women's health, geriatrics, aquatic therapy, and sports. Her positions throughout this period including therapy manager and clinic director. Inevitably she returned to one of her primary passions, pediatrics, and feels very much at home. Outside of work she enjoys running, reading, and cooking.
Natalie Sanchez, PT, DPT
Natalie earned her bachelor's in English Literature at UC San Diego and Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Loma Linda University (LLU) in 2024. Her interests in pediatrics began when volunteering at the Children's Hospital of Orange County prior to PT school and continued during clinical rotations at the LLU Children's Hospital and LLU High Risk Infant Clinic. Natalie simultaneously works with adolescents and adults in the orthopedic and sports therapy setting while providing care for the kiddos at THRIVE. She loves being able to expand her orthopedic skills to creatively apply them in the pediatric setting when appropriate. Natalie is bilingual and proud to offer sessions in Spanish. Outside of work you can find Natalie hiking or kayaking with her 2 Mini Schnauzers, sampling new restaurants with her family and friends, or weightlifting.
Liliana Johnson, PT, DPT
Lili (Liliana) earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Pre-Physical Therapy from San Diego Christian College in 2017. She then earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2020 from Loma Linda University. She has always had a passion to work in pediatrics, so upon graduating she began to work in a hospital specifically within the Acute Rehab, Subacute and Outpatient settings working with newborn babies, kids, teenagers and young adults. During her time at the hospital, she found a deeper passion to work in early intervention assisting kiddos in the first 3 years of life! She found Thrive and has been happily working here since 2022! Lili is bilingual in English and Spanish. Outside of Thrive you will find Lili enjoying life with her husband and daughter. Crafting, cooking, reading, and dancing are some of her favorite activities. She also loves to be in the outdoors.
Elizabeth Aguayo, PTA
Elizabeth graduated from Loma Linda University in 1998. She has worked in a variety of settings (acute, orthopedics, geriatrics, wound care, athletic/sports, school district, pediatrics) and as an early intervention infant educator. Elizabeth started working with THRIVE in October 2010. Elizabeth works in the Riverside area. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Tresa Downey, PTA
Tresa graduated from Loma Linda University in 1991 and worked for a few years in geriatrics. In 2008 after raising her son and daughter she returned to work. She worked at Totally Kids in Loma Linda until meeting Shannon in 2009 just as Inland Children’s/Thrive center was closing their doors at the Colton location and doing only in-home services for IRC. Tresa worked for Thrive as a specialized Infant teacher, in home, at the specialized day care center at Totally Kids, and different school districts before starting back at in the clinic when Shannon co-founded WonderLab. Tresa enjoys riding her bike, traveling, sewing, riding horses, and spending time with her family.
